Buenos Aires, November 19 (NA) – A married couple from Córdoba, who were traveling for shopping in Chile, died when their car collided with a pickup truck in the Paso Nevado area, in San Clemente. According to information published by various local media and accessed by the Argentine News Agency, Carmen Emilia Brandán, 65, and Jorge Clemente Cuello, 67, were heading to the city of Talca in a Toyota Corolla. The tourists crossed the border at kilometer 36 of Route CH-115 and collided head-on with a red pickup truck, in which two Chilean citizens were traveling. They suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene. The Argentines, who were traveling to the neighboring country to shop and enjoy an outing, died instantly, while an emergency operation was led by SAR ambulances, San Clemente firefighters, and Carabineros. SIAT Talca personnel was conducting an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the fatal accident.
